🕓 When: December 7th, 2025, one day workshop.
📍 Where: Indica, New Delhi
👥 Who can join: Open to all — writers, cooks, artists, home historians, and anyone curious about memory and food.
Every kitchen holds a story. The clatter of pots, the smell of something simmering, the small talk while chopping vegetables, these are quiet archives of who we are. Our kitchens remember what we sometimes forget: recipes passed down, flavors that mark migration, meals that gather people together.
The Kitchen is a Story We Tell is a one-day workshop on food, memory, and storytelling with Meenakshi Thirukode, founder of School of Instituting Otherwise. It is an invitation to think about food as an archive of care, culture, and connection.
In the first half of the day, we’ll explore how artists, writers, and communities have worked with food as memory through stories, recipes, and shared meals. In the second half, we’ll turn to our own tables: writing, remembering, and sharing pieces of our food histories through creative exercises and reflection.
You don’t need to be a writer or artist or chef to join. Just someone curious about the stories that live in your kitchen
